STRIPEOLOGY - the interrupted continuum
The core of my collection is the principle of the stripe; separation or interruption of a continuum. It is an elementary research for the subtle variations of this simple pattern. By discovering the world behind the stripe, I became fascinated by the richness of the minimum.
Prior to the application of the stripes, I use the same principle, but different techniques, resulting in the difference between solid regularity and a unique handwriting style. I'm looking for interesting line shifts or interruptions.
Through applying the stripes after the bag is sewn together, I accentuate surprising fold and crease areas. I aspire to create a pure and graphic image, which brings the focus entirely to the stripes.
